It was love at first sight when I met Thrivecart. It’s easy to use, makes something as boring as a cart beautiful, and has a lot of features packed in for the price.
First off, I’m a sucker for a pay in full deal. Anything I can buy outright and own for life is a heck yes for me. I would much rather do that than pay a monthly subscription for eternity.
But beyond that, there are so many cool features that make this stand out from your run of the mill cart softwares included in payment processors or website hosts.
Here are five ways to get the most out of Thrivecart.
The links below include affiliate links, which means that if you make a purchase, I will receive a commission at no cost to you. But I only recommend products I have used and love.
1. Make sure you are adding your own branding to your carts.
Because you have the power to customize so much in Thrivecart, there are a lot of ways to make them unique.
You can add photos, your own colors and design your cart in various styles.
Don’t get crazy and throw the kitchen sink at it, but adding your brand to your carts keeps things cohesive when people are checking out. It gives users the feeling that they aren’t leaving your site.
2. Use them as additional sales pages.
Yep, you can actually use a cart as an add on to a sales page if you so choose.
When people click from your sales page to your cart, it is easy for them to get scared by the number on the screen. Adding elements like testimonials, a checklist with benefit-focused outcomes, or a photo mock up helps to reassure flighty buyers.
Another great item to include is their “secure checkout” icons, which reassure buyers that their credit card data is safe.
3. Add an order bump or an upsell.
An order bump is a low ticket item shoppers can tack on. Often these are less in price than the item they are buying, but add a little extra value.
A great example of this is one I created for my client, Imagine it Done. Her main offer is her Cleaning Bundle, a low ticket digital bundle with a variety of cleaning resources. We added in a pdf resource called “The Ultimate Guide to Cleaning your Washer and Dryer.” It’s a good companion product to the original offer and is only $7.
And a good portion of buyers are toggling that switch to purchase it.
An upsell is something larger ticket you offer after the buyer has purchased. After check up, a page pops up that says something like, “Wait, there is also this great thing too!”
You offer it at a lower price than they get anywhere else for this one time.
There are a portion of buyers who will say yes to all the things you are offering, increasing your overall cart value.
4. Use affiliates to sell your stuff.
The pro version of Thrivecart has an entire affiliate ecosystem that is pretty cool. You can add people who are willing to sell your digital products for you, assign them links, and give them all the branded promo materials to use.
They are assigned a link they can share, and if they make a sale, you can set a portion of your proceeds to go to them. It makes the option of having affiliates simple and streamlined. It’s a win, win for you and your affiliates. All you have to do is set it up and let them market your offers for you.
5. Use Thrivecart Learn to host your course.
Thrivecart Learn is a whole software on its own, but Thrivecart has included the base version for free in its cart software. (You can upgrade to a premium version for additional features if you choose).
I love the simple interface of the Learn platform. It is streamlined and also offers customizations to brand it, add photos, videos, tools, and other resources.
Since it is built in to the cart software, it also makes the process of connecting a cart, where you are selling your course or program, to the membership portal really simple.
All in all, Thrivecart is my favorite cart software. If you are selling any kind of product, such as a course, membership, low ticket offer, this is a must have.
Do you use Thrivecart? What do you love about it?
