What platform do you use? I use Wix for all my templates so that you can easily adapt your site to your brand with no code, no frustration and complete flexibility. I’ve found it to be the simplest platform for those looking to DIY your site. It comes with support and back ups built in, and no need for costly plug-ins. It’s also stocked with easy to use SEO tools. I use Wix for all my templates so that you can easily adapt your site to your brand with no code, no frustration and complete flexibility. I’ve found it to be the simplest platform for those looking to DIY your site. It comes with support and back ups built in, and no need for costly plug-ins. It’s also stocked with easy to use SEO tools.
I’m new to Wix, can I still use these templates? Yes! Wix is an intuitive platform out of the box. But I also include a portal of video trainings to help you learn to use it if you need them.
Will I be able to customize colors and fonts to my brand? What can I change? Yep. You can customize anything on your site: Colors, fonts, the size of elements, how you link the pages together etc. In theory, you could change anything. But I also structured the site with strategy and conversion in mind, so I recommend you stick to the template if that’s not your area of expertise and instead customize the fonts, colors, photos and copy to your brand and message.
Can you customize my template for me? Sure! I’m happy to help with template customization. You can book a VIP day with me, provide me with your content and we can knock it out in a day.
What do I need to get started? You’ll just need to sign up for a free Wix account first. Then when you purchase the template, I will guide you through installing your new template on your account.
How much is it to use Wix? Wix is free without a domain connected. I recommend purchasing a custom domain for credibility’s sake. Hosting plans vary but you can often find plans for about $10-25 a month. These are competitive with many other platforms and avoid the cost of ongoing support often needed on Wordpress.
Is Wix really SEO friendly? Yes. In fact, a third party SEO site called Arefs found that Wix sites rank just as well or even better than Wordpress sites across the board. It comes with many SEO tools to help you optimize your site so that it shows up in searches.
What if I’m not a service provider? These templates are designed for women who offer one-to-one services and possibly a digital product. However, they are so customizable, you could use them for a product-based business. You just need to adapt them to your brand colors, fonts, photos and messaging. And Wix has a shop app that can be easily added in a couple clicks.
What if I need help? My goal is that customizing your template is a seamless and fun process. I have included a portal of training materials. You will also get access to three free Q&A sessions with me if you purchase by October 4. Why Wix?
I’m so glad you asked, because I have so, so many reasons.
Wix did get a bad rap early on for using some tech that wasn’t great. That was 10 years ago. Since then, it has spent a billion dollars on its infrastructure and it shows.
Now, third party data shows that Wix sites actually rank higher for SEO than Wordpress or Squarespace. Its core web vitals, which are metrics Google uses to see how user friendly a site is and that then influence how it ranks, have surpassed both platforms.
Now that we got that out of the way, here is what probably really matters to you:
It is super easy to use. I have tested a lot of platforms and most are either really clunky, take many more steps to do the same thing, or you
are locked into templates and blocks that are tricky to truly customize. (In some cases, all of the above).
With Wix, you have complete design freedom. It’s easy to customize any element. You can save design elements for reuse. It has so many options to add on features such as bookings, portfolio, a blog or a podcast feed. It integrates with third-party platforms. And its SEO tools are easy and comprehensive.
I know you don’t have the time to go to code school in order to get your site online. You need something you can customize with a few clicks - not with hours looking up youtube videos on how to add anchors and code snippets.
